I’m starting up a small mobile game project with some friends, we’re going to develop a concept for the Android market to see if it runs or not, won’t tell much yet until it’s all registered and whatnot, but stay tuned for more 
.
This game is based on the previous ‘Pen Sorting’; but I’ve added some variations to make the game more interesting.
To start off with; we now have three categories to sort with, instead of the previous single pen which could be up and down.
With Duck Sorting you have to sort the Male, Female and deceased ducks coming from the pond. To make it all a little more interesting, there are some random figures such belonging to either sex, which makes the sorting a little more difficult.
The ducks line up in order so you can see the first few coming.
Controls:
Space bar: Move new duck into sorting space
Up arrow: Move duck into ‘Dead’ box
Right arrow: Move duck into ‘Male’ box
Down arrow: Move duck into ‘Female’ box
If you sort one correctly; you get one point added to your score. Sort one wrong and you’ll lose one. Sort as many ducks correctly as you can within one minute!
Note that I didn’t aim for any art prize here, as I just tried to make the concept as clear as possible.
For the ‘Game Design 2′ course at my school we had the assignment to translate six assignments into board games, digital games or concepts.
This is my first; Pen Sorting.
Story:
You are an underpaid laborer in a pen factory. The only thing you do, and which you are good at, is sorting pens that are about to be packed. You work along the production line making sure all pens are put upright before going off to packaging.
Objective:
Sort pens as fast as possible. It’s not possible to revert your actions, every pen you sent out to packaging is not going to come back if you sorted it wrong. It will only cost you points.
You have one minute to sort as many pens as possible.
Controls:
Arrow keys:
Left: Sort
Up/Down: Flip pen

I’ve been working on some artwork for the classic MMORPG ‘Dragon Raja Online’, since the game itself can use some freshing up. It’s another work in progress since I can’t really ever be happy about how something looks. I’m too much of a perfectionist.
